A Story:

Once a boat owner decided to get his boat painted and asked a painter to paint it.

While painting the boat, the painter realized that there was a hole in the hull and decided to repair it.

One week later, owner of boat presented the painter with a check with amount much higher than decided.

Painter was surprised and said “you have already paid me for painting the boat last week.”

Owner replied “ yes, that was for paint and this is for repairing the hole in the boat.”

Painter replied. “Ah, that was a small service and not worth paying anything for it.”

Owner explained that he forgot to explain about the hole to the painter and to fix it.

And the next day, his children had taken the boat for a fishing trip, while he was not at home.

When he returned, he panicked on not seeing the boat but to his relief, children came back home after fishing safely.

He then examined the boat and to his surprise, found that the painter had repaired the hole, even though it was not informed.

Owner said “you saved life of my children. I don’t have enough money to pay for your Small Good Deed.”
