A note on receiving feedback by Nahid

Being open to feedback and always striving to be better has made me think more about my actions.

What am I doing right? What am I doing wrong?

Be it for school, sport, work or art, we have to learn to drop the ego and be more open to constructive criticism.

That’s what helps you get better.

For many (including me) it’s hard to listen to, but feedback from the right people is a gold mine.

It’s rare. It’s uncomfortable. It’s raw.

As I’ve been thinking more about this, I’m beginning to realize one thing: only the people that care

about you, are willing to give you feedback.

They know you can take it…. Parents. Friends. Teachers. You name it.

Whoever it may be, they invest their time into making you a better person — the best type of compliment there is.

They know you have what it takes to improve, to be better.

The Oxford dictionary defines feedback as:

Information about reactions to a product, a person’s performance of a task, etc. which is used as a basis for improvement.

Learning:

Feedback and critics only make you stronger.

You must look at what they are saying as feedback.
