Comfort zone by Solomon

Comfort zone : Why we love it and what brings us?
These are three major benefits that you get when you stay in your comfort zone.

  1. Safety. 2. Familiarity. 3. Relaxation.

Comfort zone : What it doesn’t give us?
These are the three major benefits that you do not get when you stay in your comfort zone.

  1. Diversity. 2. Upgrades. 3. Newness.

Comfort zone : Why should we get out of it?
1. We don’t learn – When we stay in our comfort zone we do not learn new things.

  1. We do not develop – Unfortunately (or fortunately) the only thing that is constant in the Universe is the change. Everything is changing. If we do not learn to develop we regress.
  2. We risk becoming prey to our behavior patterns – Being in comfort zone, we will get very cynical and become very closed minded. It is said: “Minds are like parachutes. They work only when open. “
  3. We cannot increase the comfort zone – We have to get out of our comfort zone to create more comfort, although this itself brings discomfort.

Finally, three simple steps about how to get out of your comfort zone:

Know your limits : Understand your own mindset, personality traits and behavioral patterns.
Trying new things : Pick activities that challenge you, research on the challenge, strategize, take small steps, take help where required…

Thinking positively : Visualize challenges as chances to grow, Coach yourself through situations, plan actions for all outcomes, apply learning…

Learning:

Each one of us has our own evolution of life, and each one of us goes through different tests which are unique and challenging.

So, some prefer to stay in the comfort zone (loving stability, relaxation and safety) while others prefer to live on the edge … always outside their comfort zone (loving diversity, adrenaline, novelty).
